Must be able to complete all side work assigned. Accurately account for all sales and payments from the guest. Alert Management of any service and/or safety issues. Make appropriate service recovery gestures according to established guidelines in order to ensure total guest satisfaction. Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Coordinate with bartenders and kitchen for ordering and receipt of food and beverages. Server Qualifications At least 1 year of serving in a fast paced food and beverage venue, preferrably nightclub environment. Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments preferred. Must meet state legal age requirements. Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred. Must be courteous, pleasant, and good natured. Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, bartender, wait staff, cooks, and supervisors. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency. Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc. Basic math skills are frequently used when handling cash and credit. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. The Server position requires the ability to perform the following: Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds (bar ware, carts, boxes, bottles, etc.). Must be able to efficiently and safely stand and move about the entire facility during each shift. Bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting. POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Server

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION REPORTS TO: General Manager

DEPARTMENT: Dining

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner and peers.
  • Greets guests and takes drink and food order; provides information about menu items and looks for opportunity for additional sales.
  • Accurately processes transactions through the POS.
  • Responds appropriately to customer concerns.
  • Ensures a clean, sanitized and well stocked bar.
  • Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Inventories all beverages and operation supplies, orders replacement items as needed.
  • Build guest loyalty and enhance selling skills through the use of available training materials.
  • Maintain clean organized work environment that is free of safety hazards which may include sweeping and mopping.
  • Accountable for compliance with all local, state, federal laws and regulation including those relating to food safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Food and Beverage experience is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of math to figure cost, make change and cash handling procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as with other team members
  • Able to work unsupervised for extensive periods, and to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with customers and peers.
  • Ability to work various shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment
  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to communicate effectively
  • Self-starter able to prioritize and handle various tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations
  • Proficiency required in reading and writing and mathematics
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, climbing on ladder, and walking long distances.
