POSITION SUMMARY

As a Messina Hof Harvest Green Server, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with server assistants, cooks, and other staff. You will be taking food and drink orders, ensuring all tables are served properly with Messina Hof's Expectations of Hospitality.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Execute high levels of customer service at all times.
  • Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
  • Accurately enter orders into the Point-of-Sale System
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner
  • Convey knowledge and expertise of the menu and history of Messina Hof to make suggestions
  • Promote dinners, events, parties and repeat sales at Messina Hof Harvest Green
  • Responsible for Messina Hof's high standard of cleanliness and organization in all areas of Messina Hof Harvest Green.
  • Collect payments and ensure cash control policies are followed
  • Assist the Direct to Consumer (DTC) department with quarterly Wine Club packaging
  • Assist in all in-house Wine Club and VIP events to create lasting relationships with our members
  • Assist in maintaining and auditing inventory by unloading monthly deliveries from our Estate Location
  • Perform other duties as required including assisting other departments as needed

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Competency Statement(s)

  • One to two years' experience in the restaurant industry
  • Able to use a personal computer for register transactions
  • Good communication skills, personnel skills, highly motivated, and highly organized
  • Must be detail oriented and able to coordinate various activities simultaneously. Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Must have good written and oral communication skills
  • Must have basic wine knowledge to help customer service
  • Ability to deal with guests, co-workers, and business associates in a courteous and professional manner. Must be people and hospitality oriented
  • TABC Certificate & Food Handler's Certificate
