Responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to other employees and coworkers to provide superior guest service. Strong preparation skills - including but not limited to stocking items needed for service, changing out products while adhering to state health department regulations & standards. The cashier must always portray a professional manner including appearance, identification, and general conduct at all times. Makes a positive contribution to the work environment through presentation of positive attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive approach to daily events. Comply with resort SOPs & expectations, including but not limited to cash handling, appearance, attendance, guest service standards. Reports any potential safety hazards to management immediately. Perform all tasks assigned by the manager (side-work, cleaning etc.), including other duties outside of daily-weekly checklist duties. Keep workspaces & exterior guest public spaces clean & organized. Maintain detailed knowledge of menu items & allergens. Provide prompt & genuine service to all guests at all times. Excellent communication skills and relationship building with the serving staff. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks & maintain collective & genuine in high volume situations. Adheres to SOPs, including but not limited to phone etiquette, personal appearance, timing & attendance, guest interactions. Knowledge of menus & allergens for all food & beverage items in the Ice Cream Parlor, in additional to general & accurate resort information Obtain & maintain a RAMP certification through the state of PA. Other job duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Friendly and outgoing personality. Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with state requirements for alcoholic beverage service. Ability to stand up to 8 hours at a time. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. Summary: The waitstaff is a team member classified based on individual theatre needs, and/or employee availability, as either variable hour, part-time fixed, part- time regular or a full-time hourly employee whose main responsibility is to provide superior guest service in a clean and comfortable environment. As a member of our hospitality team, the primary responsibility of an In-Room Dining Server is to provide exceptional customer service in the Room Service department by receiving calls, taking orders, ringing up tickets, and ensuring accurate payment processing for Room Service orders. This role is also knowledgeable about menu options and can suggest additional items or upgrades to guests, enhancing their dining experience. A crucial part of this role is reconciling tickets to ensure all charges are accounted for and working closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely delivery to guests' rooms for a seamless and enjoyable dining experience for guests. Assist in expediting Room Service orders by coordinating with kitchen and service staff, ensuring timely delivery to guests' rooms Maintain organized and accurate records of all orders, including details such as guest names, order contents, and delivery times. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to address any special requests or modifications to orders, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of guest preferences. Be familiar with the Room Service menu and have a thorough knowledge of all available items, ingredients, and preparation methods. Demonstrate strong knowledge of the hotel's amenities, services, and promotions, providing guests with helpful information as needed. Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in the Room Service area, maintaining a tidy workspace and ensuring a hygienic environment for food preparation and service. POSITION SUMMARY The Server is a short shift position that is responsible for supporting dining room services to ensure an efficient dining experience for residents. This position may fill one or all of these roles; waitperson, bus person or runner. General duties include setting up and clearing the dining room, prepping for meals, preparing garnishes, taking orders, bringing food to the table and assisting with dishes as directed. This position is an integral part of the CRISTA Senior Living mission of providing joy and purpose to the lives of our residents. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (General overview and may not include all details of responsibilities) Promptly take food orders from the residents and deliver to the kitchen, and then deliver the ordered food to the resident in a timely and courteous manner. Know and follow the Principles of Correct Service. Know and follow proper food handling and infection control techniques in order to maintain the dining room in a sanitary and orderly condition. Bus tables and support the dining room staff. Clean and reset the dining room tables by following the table setting standards. Prepare garnishes and condiments as assigned. Restock dining room table supplies as assigned. Perform all assigned nightly cleaning tasks or side jobs as designated by the dining room supervisor or food service manager. Train new wait staff as assigned. Attend scheduled meetings. Communicate with residents and customers in person and by phone. Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers, residents and their families. Perform other related duties as assigned.
