Basic Function: Responsible for ensuring a dining experience that meets or exceeds guest satisfaction by providing timely and courteous food and beverage service. Essential Duties: Greets guests arriving at station in a pleasant manner. Ensures that all newly seated guests receive immediate attention and that their orders are taken promptly. Maintains control and order of issued guest checks; verifies all checks for information prices, taxes, and tips. Performs other duties as assigned by management. Essential Requirements: One week minimum of on-the-job training. Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length. Must have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, reach and kneel, and have the ability to lift and carry trays and bus pans frequently weighing up to 25 pounds. Subject to exposure of wet floors and temperature extremes. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand basic English in order to communicate effectively with all guests and other hotel associates. Deliver excellent guest service to all customers. Complete inventory tasks, as well as receive and arrange delivery from vendors and Van Leeuwen HQ.
