Where the team fits in The Marketing Automation Specialist sits within the Marketing Automation and Enablement team - which is a part of the broader Audience & Marketing team. The Marketing Automation and Enablement team is focused on creating the capability to enable best practice personalisation of experiences for consumers and customers enterprise-wide, through the development of people, processes and martech. We operate as a Centre of Excellence, providing operational and technical best-practice guidance and assistance to marketing teams and other group brands using martech platforms like Braze, SFMC HubSpot, or others, as required by the business. This role will support the enablement and delivery of customer lifecycle marketing programs in Salesforce Marketing Cloud for the purpose of driving awareness of products, reach revenue targets and maintain customer sentiment through best practice campaign and journey development/execution. What the role is all about The Marketing Automation Specialist (SFMC) supports REA's success in the following ways: Campaign management and builds: Work with the Lifecycle Marketing team and broader Marketing Automation Enablement team to define and refine business requirements for complex campaign and personalisation use cases across all customer products and lines of business Build and development of sophisticated and personalised marketing campaigns and programs Configure and customise Salesforce Marketing Cloud applications (Email Studio, Mobile Connect, Contact Builder, Automation Studio, Journey Builder & Web Studio) as per marketing campaign requirements. Development of thorough QA test plans and effective bug/issue resolution Maintenance and optimisation of programs and journeys to ensure optimal performance Data management: Working with Campaign Managers, Specialists and the Audience & Insights team to refine new data or integration requirements List management and maintenance Reporting: Support with enabling business reporting solutions Monitoring channel health and message volumes Operational excellence: Participate in sprint planning and support with delivery management in Jira Identify, optimise and develop efficiencies in operational ways of working - support the development of new frameworks, guidelines or process improvements Maintain thorough documentation practices for all areas of work - ensure technical and campaign documentation is discoverable/accessible for key stakeholders. Solution design: Provide support to Marketing Automation, Product, Data and Tech stakeholders to ensure we implement marketing and automation best practices Platform management: Email & SMS deliverability management and maintenance Spam and privacy compliance Support with platform software updates and business system health reviews Manage user account creation and deletion requests Who we're looking for Great attention to detail and technically strong in all aspects of marketing automation, data integration, campaign creation and production. Has extensive experience building out sophisticated dynamic content and personalisation logic in email campaigns, programs or cross-channel journeys. Experienced and confident in SFMC or Braze (or another omni-channel platform) where you have been the go-to for anything technical. Has extensive experience using various programming/templating languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid etc Proven experience with all Marketing Cloud Studios, incl. Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, MobileStudio & WebStudio. Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, data architecture and data management is essential (Marketing Cloud Consultant and Developer Certification is highly desirable). Experienced in CRM integrations and implementation projects for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, e.g. integration between Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud. The Marketing Automation and Enablement team is focused on creating the capability to enable best practice personalisation of experiences for consumers and customers enterprise-wide, through the development of people, processes and martech.

We operate as a Centre of Excellence, providing operational and technical best-practice guidance and assistance to marketing teams and other group brands using martech platforms like Braze, SFMC HubSpot, or others, as required by the business.

This role will support the enablement and delivery of customer lifecycle marketing programs in Salesforce Marketing Cloud for the purpose of driving awareness of products, reach revenue targets and maintain customer sentiment through best practice campaign and journey development/execution.

What the role is all about

The Marketing Automation Specialist (SFMC) supports REA's success in the following ways:

Campaign management and builds:

  • Work with the Lifecycle Marketing team and broader Marketing Automation Enablement team to define and refine business requirements for complex campaign and personalisation use cases across all customer products and lines of business

  • Build and development of sophisticated and personalised marketing campaigns and programs

  • Configure and customise Salesforce Marketing Cloud applications (Email Studio, Mobile Connect, Contact Builder, Automation Studio, Journey Builder & Web Studio) as per marketing campaign requirements.

  • Development of thorough QA test plans and effective bug/issue resolution

  • Maintenance and optimisation of programs and journeys to ensure optimal performance

Data management:

  • Working with Campaign Managers, Specialists and the Audience & Insights team to refine new data or integration requirements

  • List management and maintenance

Reporting:

  • Support with enabling business reporting solutions

  • Monitoring channel health and message volumes

Operational excellence:

  • Participate in sprint planning and support with delivery management in Jira

  • Identify, optimise and develop efficiencies in operational ways of working - support the development of new frameworks, guidelines or process improvements

  • Maintain thorough documentation practices for all areas of work - ensure technical and campaign documentation is discoverable/accessible for key stakeholders.

Solution design:

  • Provide support to Marketing Automation, Product, Data and Tech stakeholders to ensure we implement marketing and automation best practices

Platform management:

  • Email & SMS deliverability management and maintenance

  • Spam and privacy compliance

  • Support with platform software updates and business system health reviews

  • Manage user account creation and deletion requests

Who we're looking for

  • Great attention to detail and technically strong in all aspects of marketing automation, data integration, campaign creation and production.

  • Has extensive experience building out sophisticated dynamic content and personalisation logic in email campaigns, programs or cross-channel journeys.

  • Experienced and confident in SFMC or Braze (or another omni-channel platform) where you have been the go-to for anything technical.

  • Has extensive experience using various programming/templating languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid etc

  • Proven experience with all Marketing Cloud Studios, incl. Email Studio, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, MobileStudio & WebStudio.

  • Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, data architecture and data management is essential (Marketing Cloud Consultant and Developer Certification is highly desirable).

  • Experienced in CRM integrations and implementation projects for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, e.g. integration between Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud.

  • Perseverance in solving problems, good at thinking on your feet and would happily troubleshoot HTML, campaign or data issues

  • Someone who is confident managing multiple priorities and effective at communicating out to stakeholders to manage expectations.
