Reports to : Maintenance Foreman The essential functions of this position were determined to be but not limited to: 1. Perform emergency and preventive maintenance, including electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair/replacement of component parts, on all production and support equipment. 2. Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, i.e., greasing, fluid checks, oil and filter changes, etc. 3. Perform permissibility testing. 4. Welding and acetylene torch cutting repair and mechanical fabricating. 5. Splicing equipment cables as needed, wire belt drives and started boxes. 6. Other duties may be required as assigned by the Maintenance Foreman or the Mine Foreman. Work Objectives:  To maintain and repair underground mining equipment and machinery. Work Schedule:  Will work five (5) days, Monday through Friday. Periodically, miners will be required to work a sixth (6th) day on Saturday. Overtime may be required by the maintenance foreman or the mine foreman. Position Summary:  Employee must be able to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and hydraulic prints. Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds regularly. Operate equipment and use various hand tools including hammers, knives, etc. as required. Work closely with others in a team effort.
