You will own the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of highly automated, scalable material flow systems-including AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, and ASRS-critical for high-volume electrode manufacturing of our Iron-Air battery. This role is essential for driving operational excellence and is a great opportunity to be part of the development of a cutting edge product! What you'll do: Own the full lifecycle of complex material flow and process equipment, from concept development and detailed engineering design through commissioning and production handover. Design, deploy, and specify fully automated material handling solutions (AGV, AMR, VRC, ASRS, conveyors, robotics), ensuring compliance with factory layout, safety, and ergonomic standards. Develop system architecture, capacity, and throughput models, utilizing Discrete Event Simulation (DES) tools like FlexSim to validate technical feasibility and optimize CAPEX/OPEX. Lead end-to-end program management, including scope definition, RFQ development, vendor selection, budget oversight, schedule tracking, and rigorous FAT/SAT testing. Define and standardize fleet management, path optimization, and traffic control strategies for AGV/AMR systems to ensure robust and scalable automation. Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate automation with MES, WMS, and PLC-based control systems. Analyze operational performance data (OEE, throughput) to identify bottlenecks, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and enhance system reliability and uptime. Learn to safely operate a heavy or commercial truck along a designated route and to the disposal site; read route sheet, follow map and service each customer as identified on the route sheet or as assigned by the dispatcher and/or supervisor. Learn to operate manual and/or automatic controls in accordance with Company safety policies and procedures to lift and load refuse, operate compactor and dispose of collected material at the designated facility. Learn to identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers in accordance with applicable departmental procedures. Learn to continuously monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste. Continuously monitor the condition of any assigned vehicle to ensure it is operationally ready at all times to minimize down time; clean waste from the packer blade and truck body on each disposal trip. Follow all required safety policies and procedures. After obtaining a CDL, perform all responsibilities of a Driver in one of the Company's lines of business (i.e., Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Roll-Off). Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions of the DIY business. The role has expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive system knowledge and part knowledge. This role has the ability for advanced identification, trouble shooting and project assistance for DIY customers. The role has the ability to source from numerous places including special order, FDO, second source, etc. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and maintenance processes. Position is full time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls
  • Achieve personal / store sales goals and service objectives
  • Manage DIY services including battery installation, testing, wiper installs, etc.
