Overview
Job Description
- Conduct assessments to evaluate residents' needs, abilities, and goals.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with other departments, including nurses, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide training and education to residents and families on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy for geriatric populations.
- Must be a Occupational Therapist (OT) with a valid state license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
