Position Responsibilities: Interacting closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services benefiting clients in diverse industries Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize our company's tax position while considering business goals, industry trends, and regulatory changes Collaborate with clients and provide proactive tax advice and solutions Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth and development Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service Coordinate workload distribution, projects, and training initiatives within the tax department Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting A CPA is preferred for this role 3-6 years' experience years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting Experience in Partnership, Corporate, S-Corp. & individual tax returns Experienced in U.S. disclosure of foreign income and assets Experience working with tax provisions is preferred Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. Project & work management: Understand the importance of project management, be able to keep track of work assigned to others and work promised to clients by a certain date. Be able to utilize a cloud based project management system to keep track of and monitor work being performed. Accounting methods: Understand the difference between cash basis, modified accrual and full accrual accounting. Have a deep understanding of how transaction timing impacts this and how transactions should be recorded. Attention to Detail: Capability to identify errors or inconsistencies in large sets of data. Software: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, CCH Axcess Tax. Required soft skills We expect the typical soft skills you'd see in a professional services environment, including (but not limited) to: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Problem-solving aptitude Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Strong time management and organizational skills Past work experience Minimum of 2 years experience reviewing tax returns Minimum of 1 year experience working in CCH Axcess Tax Education: Master's degree in taxation or accounting is preferred but not mandatory. Position Responsibilities:
- Interacting closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services benefiting clients in diverse industries
- Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all required tax returns
- Develop and implement tax strategies that optimize our company's tax position while considering business goals, industry trends, and regulatory changes
- Collaborate with clients and provide proactive tax advice and solutions
- Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their growth and development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service
- Coordinate workload distribution, projects, and training initiatives within the tax department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- A CPA is preferred for this role
- 3-6 years' experience years of federal tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting
- Experience in Partnership, Corporate, S-Corp. & individual tax returns
- Experienced in U.S. disclosure of foreign income and assets
- Experience working with tax provisions is preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
The salary range for this opportunity is stated above. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of the range, and in certain circumstances, may wind up being outside of the listed salary range.
