Serve as the Firm's primary resource in a wide range of multistate sales and use tax matters, including FAS 5, reverse audits, tax planning, consulting, compliance, automation, mergers and acquisitions, controversy, and audit defense.

› Automate sales and use tax compliance decisions.  Implement knowledge of sales and use tax implications.

› Deliver a full range of multi-state and local tax consulting services, addressing various issues in the area of income, franchise, capital stock, license, and gross receipts taxes.

› Conduct primary and secondary review of complicated or complex state and local returns.

› Identify opportunities to minimize clients' multi-state tax burden through optimal filing methods, exemptions, credits/incentives, structuring alternatives, etc.

› Provide analysis and modeling of structuring alternatives.

› Research complex state and local tax issues using state statutes, regulations, case law, and other relevant authorities/guidance.

Lead and manage the business relationship of complex engagements with a focus on high-value, quality tax advice, and seek to expand services to clients.

Participate in the development of staff through one-on-one teachable moments and offering feedback on a regular basis.

› Prepare transaction work for complex client situations.

Actively participate in the generation of additional business by seeking out new clients and follow-through with leads.
