Tax Senior Managers are responsible for the review and management of their assigned client work. They are also responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating workflow amongst the team. Senior Managers will assist associates, and senior associates with technical and software issues. Senior Managers will communicate with clients regularly and build client relationships. Senior Managers will be proficient in tax research and be able to properly document and cite findings. Understands the Firm’s business on a day-to-day basis: billings and collections, proper utilization of staff, Firm policies and procedures, etc. Participates in Full Potential Development Program and serves as new hire buddy. Assumes individual responsibility to learn all new technology introduced by the Firm as appropriate for service/practice area. Such other duties as may be assigned. Supervisory responsibilities Provides supervision and on-the-job training to staff. Work environment This position is remote, with occasional travel to meet organizational and client needs . Analyze and compute in preparing IRS Forms 5471/5472, 8858, 8865, 1118 and other international tax reporting/disclosures for the U.S. federal tax return, including GILTI, FDII, and Subpart F analysis and computations. Provide support and analysis to the tax reporting team on the quarterly income tax provision of the organization’s international operations under ASC 740, including GILTI, FDII, and Subpart F. Assist in analyzing and computing items related to Pillar 2, including analysis as to the applicability of safe harbors, any top-up tax, and the preparation of the GloBE Information Return. Collect data and provide analysis regarding transfer pricing requirements, including BEPS and country-by-country reporting.  Which skills are required: 7+ years of relevant tax experience, ideally with a mix of industry and Big 4 accounting firm experience CPA and/or MS in Taxation preferred. Tax Senior Managers are responsible for the review and management of their assigned client work.  They are also responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously and coordinating workflow amongst the team. Senior Managers will assist associates, and senior associates with technical and software issues.  Senior Managers will communicate with clients regularly and build client relationships. Senior Managers will be proficient in tax research and be able to properly document and cite findings.

Supervisory responsibilities

Provides supervision and on-the-job training to staff.

Work environment

This position is remote, with occasional travel to meet organizational and client needs. Candidates need to be in Central or Eastern Time Zones to be considered. Ideal candidates will be located within: Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, or Tennessee.

Required education and experience

  • Seven (7) to nine (9) years’ tax experience in public accounting or consulting, demonstrating a progression in complexity and number of projects managed
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting, or degree appropriate to practice area is required
  • Current and valid CPA license is required
  • Must be a member in good standing with the AICPA and respective state societies
  • Proficiency in use of computers and computer accounting software, or software appropriate to practice group

Preferred education and experience

  • Experience with CCH ProSystemfx or CCH Axcess is strongly preferred
  • Experience with multi-state corporations and ASC 740 is recommended
