Tax Manager / Senior Tax Manager – Public Accounting

An established, full-service public accounting firm in Chester Countyis seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join its growing team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review tax engagements for individuals and business entities

• Review federal, state, and local tax returns for accuracy and compliance

• Provide proactive tax planning, consulting, and advisory services

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and respond confidently to tax and accounting questions

• Develop strong client relationships by understanding their businesses, needs, and goals

• Research complex tax matters and communicate findings in a clear, practical manner

• Identify tax planning opportunities and potential areas of risk

• Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and priorities

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior tax professionals

• Collaborate with partners and other professionals across the firm's tax, audit, and accounting practices

• Stay current on changes to federal, state, and local tax regulations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience

• CPA license or actively working toward CPA licensure

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local taxation

• Experience reviewing individual and business tax returns

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong client service and relationship-building skills

• Comfortable engaging directly with clients, answering questions, and explaining tax matters in an understandable way

• Ability to research tax issues and provide practical solutions

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines

• Previous experience mentoring or supervising staff preferred
