Job Description
About the Firm
We are a well-established New York City law firm representing clients in complex residential and commercial real estate transactions throughout New York. Our practice is built on precision, responsiveness, and white-glove client service. We partner closely with buyers, sellers, developers, commercial tenants, and lenders to execute transactions efficiently and seamlessly.
Our team operates with high standards, strong collaboration, and deep subject-matter expertise. We are looking for a paralegal who shares that commitment.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Paralegal to take ownership of high-volume residential transactions while supporting sophisticated commercial matters, including tenant representation, financing transactions, and offering plan filings.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced closing environment, understands NYC real estate at a technical level, and can independently manage matters from contract through post-closing.
You will directly support three attorneys and serve as a critical driver of transaction execution.
What You Will Own
Residential Transactions
Draft and manage contracts of sale, riders, and closing documentation
Conduct full due diligence: title review and clearance, lien resolution, coop/condo board package review
Prepare closing statements and manage escrow and disbursements
Draft and file deeds and coop share transfers
Coordinate and conduct closings
Oversee post-closing compliance and quality control
Commercial Matters
Review commercial lease due diligence and prepare lease abstracts
Assist with borrower-side commercial financing transactions
Draft and file new development offering plans
Support representation of commercial tenants, developers, and borrowers
Firm Operations & Workflow
Track critical deadlines across multiple active matters
Maintain organized digital files within Clio
Communicate regularly with clients, brokers, lenders, title companies, and management companies
Draft LLC formation documents and related filings
Ensure seamless coordination between attorneys and external stakeholders
What You Bring
Minimum 5 years of NYC real estate paralegal experience within a law firm
Deep familiarity with NYC coop, condo, townhouse, and HDFC transactions
Strong understanding of title processes, lender requirements, and management company procedures
Ability to independently manage multiple high-volume matters without sacrificing quality
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Comfort working on a Mac platform
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Clio, Outlook, Teams, and digital document management systems
NYS Notary License (required)
You are detail-oriented, proactive, and calm under pressure. You anticipate needs rather than wait for instruction. You understand that in real estate, timing and accuracy are everything.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $85,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience
Performance-based bonus opportunities
Health, Dental, Vision Insurance
401(k) eligibility after 3-month probationary period
HSA/FSA options
Paid time off and firm holidays
Collaborative, team-oriented culture with firm events
Work Structure
This is a full-time, in-person position in New York City. The selected candidate will support three attorneys and manage a substantial volume of closings, due diligence, offering plan review, loan documentation review, and post-closing quality control.
