Production Operator
Location: Erlanger, KY
Vacancies: 2nd & 3rd Shift
Schedule: 8 hour shifts; overtime and weekends as needed
Hours: 2nd Shift- 2pm to 1030pm & 3rd Shift- 10pm to 630am
Position Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for safely operating manufacturing, blending, and processing equipment across the Dry Blends, Spray Dry, Dairy, MID, and Weigh Ups areas. This role ensures accurate material handling, product quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient production while supporting ADM's commitment to a zero-injury culture.
Key Responsibilities
Perform all job functions in compliance with ADM safety standards, GMP, OSHA, HACCP, ISO, USDA, Kosher, BATF, and food safety requirements
Read, understand, and execute Manufacturing Orders, SOPs, and production instructions
Precisely weigh, verify, and add raw materials and intermediates to batches
Operate and monitor processing equipment including:
Blenders and batching systems
Steam jacketed kettles, vacuum dryers, homogenizers, pumps
Blend tanks, filtration systems, sieves, and related ancillary equipment
Make in‑process adjustments based on analytical data (temperature, moisture, flow, etc.)
Execute rework, formula adjustments, and corrections per QC and formula requirements
Collect samples, follow QC procedures, and report deviations to leadership
Package, sample, and label products per customer and order specifications
Complete all required transactions in SAP, CMS, MWS, and AS400 systems
Accurately document production activities to ensure lot traceability and yield accuracy
Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas per Master Sanitation Schedule
Support team objectives and perform additional duties as assigned
Maintain regular attendance and a professional, team‑focused attitude
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Strong attention to detail (lot numbers, order numbers, measurements)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs repeatedly during an 8 hour shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Work environment may include exposure to chemical and food allergens
