Starbucks Barista @ Moxy Charleston

Moxy is looking for a Barista that is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and other beverages to customers inside our Starbucks Outlet. Your duties include working with other Baristas to help take orders, preparing beverages and providing timely service to customers.

Responsibilities

· Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages.

· Take customer orders and process payments.

· Ensure cleanliness and organization.

· Maintain knowledge of menu items and make recommendations to customers.

· Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and efficient manner.

· Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling food and beverages.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Qualifications

· Basic coffee knowledge, such as how to prepare common coffee beverages, although advanced knowledge, such as roasting and grinding processes, coffee bean sourcing and flavor differences, can be helpful.

· Hands-on experience in cashier duties.

· Attention to cleanliness and safety.

· Patience and customer-oriented approach.

· Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude.

· Must be fluent in English.

Physical Requirements

· Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, or hear.

· Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and pushing and/or pulling approximately 50lbs.

· Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

· Ability to stand during the entire 8-hour shift.
