Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Grants Development and Administration assists with the leadership and coordination of the College's grant development and administration activities by researching funding opportunities, writing and submitting competitive grant proposals, and providing technical expertise throughout the grant lifecycle, including pre-award development, post-award management, compliance, and reporting. The position collaborates with faculty, staff, administrators, and external partners to secure and manage external funding that advances the College's strategic priorities and institutional mission.

SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Equipment Used: Standard office equipment.

  • Working Conditions: Category III - No foreseen exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens. Probability of working beyond the normal shift, but not frequently. Periodic travel between major Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education *and* two (2) years of experience in grant research, grant development, grant writing, and/or post-award grant administration. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to meeting all other minimum qualifications, the highly desired candidate will possess one or more of the following: Experience managing complex federal, state, and private grant programs; experience coordinating cross-functional grant initiatives; experience in higher education, workforce development, or governmental grant administration; experience interpreting and applying federal grant regulations and compliance requirements; and experience developing processes, procedures, or systems to improve grant operations.

SALARY/BENEFITS

Salary is $57,000/yr. This position is full‐time and includes standard State of GA benefits such as leave accrual, options for health & other supplemental benefits, and retirement. This position may qualify the successful candidate for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. This position is funded in whole or in part by State/Local/Tuition funds.

BACKGROUND INVESTIGATIONS

Pursuant to college policy, a thorough background investigation, including a criminal history records check and employment history reference checks will be performed for all candidates offered employment. Other checks such as Motor Vehicle Records may be conducted for any candidate receiving an offer, as well as internal candidates prior to being promoted or transferred into a position with the college. Other Required Tests: No additional tests are required for this position.
