Job Title: Security Patrol Officer Company: Capital Protection Group Location: In Person - Varying Job Sites Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time Job Summary: Capital Protection Group is seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong communication skills, and a commitment to excellence and punctuality. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-visibility patrol and access control at client sites Follow site-specific Post Orders and protocols with accuracy and professionalism Maintain a strong and punctual presence during assigned shifts Complete and submit detailed incident and shift reports using company software Communicate clearly with dispatch, site supervisors, and operations management Observe and document unusual activity, safety hazards, or policy violations Represent the company with integrity in all interactions with clients, vendors, and the public Technology and Equipment Use: Use of Capital Protection Group’s designated security software platforms for reporting, logging, and communication is required Officers will be provided with a monthly cell phone stipend to support use of personal mobile devices for work-related communication and app access Uniform & Appearance Standards: Officers are required to maintain a clean, well-fitted company-issued uniform Personal grooming and presentation must reflect a professional standard at all times Uniform components must be worn correctly and in compliance with post-specific guidelines Additional Information: Shifts may include evenings, weekends, or holidays based on client need All hours worked are compensated and subject to applicable overtime as per California labor law This is a non-exempt position; timekeeping must be accurate and timely Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. Respond to alarms and calls for service in a timely manner. Write detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities, including equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security policies and procedures. Assist in emergency response situations and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary. Ensure the safety of personnel and visitors by adhering to all safety protocols. Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions. Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site. Willing to follow procedure and company policy. Be present on property as a crime deterrent. Be hands-on and able to deescalate situations. Must be able to handle stressful situations. Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines. Must be proficient with technology such as using phone apps. Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions. Must be able to handle the pressure of working with a high volume general public. Willing to work with a focused team and follow supervisor commands. Minimum Qualifications: Must have active BSIS Guard Card (and/or equivalent certification as required by local regulations). Must have valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. Must be 21+ to accommodate client contracts. High school diploma or equivalent. Previous security experience preferred but not required. Dependable transportation, own vehicle. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations. Must be able to work flexible hours, including days/nights, weekends, and holidays. Duty belt & tactical pants, required. Vest, preferred. Consistent availability. Preferred Qualifications: Basic knowledge of security systems and emergency response procedures. First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
