Overview
Job Description
Essential Functions:
- Conduct start-up verification of production lines to ensure correct usage of materials and packaging.
- Conduct frequent audits of production lines, inspecting finished product, packaging, and code dates.
- Perform mixing and filling line inspections to verify equipment cleanliness prior to releasing the line for the next product run.
- Conduct allergen cleanout verification tests during allergen changeovers to ensure compliance with food safety and cross-contact prevention requirements.
- Review packaging paperwork for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Teach new PFL and temporary employees on quality standards by product type for in process product and finished good inspections.
- Assist and monitor cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Place non-conforming product on quality hold.
- Issue labels to production.
- Data entry.
Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour
Mid Shift Schedule: 10:00am - 6:30pm
Position Qualifications:

Knowledge/Skills:
- Knowledge of cGMPs, Allergen Control, and HACCP is highly preferred.
- Strong communications skills (both orally and written).
- Must have excellent attention to detail and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Demonstration of strong work ethics (punctual, dependable).
- This position requires flexibility of schedule and ability to adapt to change.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED is required; college degree preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a production facility, preferably with packaging and quality assurance background but not required.

The Quality Assurance Technician I reports directly to the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
