Job Summary
LEVEL 1:
1- Prepare tooling for quick changeovers while complying with standards.
-Consult production planning.
-Prepare for production changeovers by approving the check-list.
-Carry out production changeovers following intervention procedures (assembly, dismounting of tooling, peripheral devices, conveyors, etc.).
-Supply or organize the supply of raw materials to machines.
-Analyze causes and decide upon the appropriate methods and means to perform missions.
2- Ensure production changeover, while complying with the standards of the technical file and minimizing the changeover time.
-Mount tooling on machines while complying with safety conditions and ensuring good working order.
-Perform level 1 maintenance.
-Perform the standard setting, in compliance with the production launched, of all machines required for manufacturing.
-Ensure the conformity of the workstation layout and cleanliness.
3 - Launch manufacture by minimizing start-up rejections.
-Perform and approve start-up checks (safety, presence of documents at the workstation such as production programs, manufacturing data, GALIA labels, material components).
-Check conformity of workstation with respect to the layout sheet.
-Check the good working order of the machine, peripheral devices and tooling (dimensional check, by attribute, boundary sample).
-Display start-up documents.
-Record malfunctions and technical tuning operations carried out in the process log.
4 - Monitor the process/product and intervene in the event of anomalies to retain standards.
-Organize monitoring of the process and monitor the process parameters.
-Report to the manager
-Monitor production conditions and make simple corrections in the event of malfunctions.
-Check the conformity of cycle times in relation to reference times.
-Participate in progress actions in the zone and generally participate in improving workshop processes and equipment.
-Update documents or computer databases associated with the position.
5 - Perform preventative maintenance procedures and repairs on production and facilities equipment
-Complete/assist with PM work orders for assembly equipment and molding machines
-Complete PM work orders for facilities equipment such as AC units, forklifts, loading docks, and batteries
-Facilitate the repair of facilities equipment as problems arise such as with bathrooms, lighting, leaks, and general grounds issues.
6 - Support seasonal grounds maintenance
-Snow removal and salting
-Water runoff auditing
LEVEL 2:
5 - Provide technical expertise.
-Analyze and diagnose processes.
-Propose and implement adequate corrective actions, suitable solutions and improvement plans.
-Analyze micro breakdowns to prevent occurrence of a failure.
-Participate in selecting improvement actions and implementing them.
-Inform the line manager of any discrepancies in relation to standards.
-Ensure that equipment is in good condition.
6 - Provide technical tutoring
-Provide technical support to APU teams.
-Provide technical training to operators, leaders and setters. Indicate training needs, schedule training and ensure that it is carried out.
-Ensure the effectiveness of the training provided.
LEVEL 3:
7 - Participate in team development.
-Participate in solving technical and quality problems and propose solutions.
-Carry out product/process technical or quality updates.
-Participate in developing products/processes.
The job holder may be assigned all or some of the following missions:
-Define standard programs for peripheral devices.
-Participate in testing and in initiating the manufacture of new products.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Trade school, technical training or apprenticeship experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of automotive industry; preferred but not required

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
-
Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment and AC systems
-
Forklifts, air handlers/rooftop units, dock equipment
-

Handyman experience with miscellaneous building and grounds repairs
-
Toilets, signage, lighting, water fountains, etc.

Familiarity with or ability to perform basic operations on Krauss Muffei, VanDorn Demag, and Milacron injection molding machines.
-
Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and work in an efficient and timely manner

Knowledge of SAP software preferred

Bask computer skills
