Job Title: Dental Hygienist

Location: Carmel, IN

Overview:
We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our close-knit dental practice. What sets us a part from other opportunities is that we truly value a work-life balance. Our office is privately owned by passionate doctors who want their team to also spend quality time with family and enjoy life outside of dentistry too. We work Mondays and Tuesdays (7am-5pm), Thursdays (7am-4pm), and alternating Wednesdays (9am-4pm). We believe every patient deserves exceptional care.

This role is ideal for a dedicated professional who values deep patient connections, continuous learning, and a forward-thinking approach to oral health. As an integral member of our team, you will provide exceptional preventive care, educate patients, and support the overall health and wellness of our community.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care & Clinical Support:

  •   Perform dental prophylaxis procedures, including cleanings, scaling, root planing, and fluoride treatments with precision and care.
  • Administer local anesthesia when necessary and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures.
  • Assess patients’ oral health, identify potential issues, and offer recommendations for treatment plans in collaboration with dentists.

Patient Education & Communication:

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventive care to foster long-lasting dental health.
  • Conduct personalized consultations, answering questions and addressing concerns with clarity and empathy.

Collaboration & Teamwork:

  • Work closely with the dental team to develop, implement, and evaluate tailored treatment plans.
  • Maintain clear, accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards (OSHA, HIPAA).
  • Contribute actively to a culture of continuous improvement by participating in team meetings, case reviews, and professional development sessions.

Facility & Technology Engagement:

  • Uphold high standards of infection control and sterilization protocols.
  • Stay current with the latest dental technologies, research, and best practices to enhance the clinic’s service offerings.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in a dental office setting is preferred; enthusiastic newcomers with relevant educational training are welcome.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to patient education and care.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage 1 hour prophy appointments and maintain exemplary quality control and infection prevention measures.
  • Proactive attitude toward ongoing professional and technical development.

What We Offer:

Competitive Compensation & Benefits:

  • Attractive compensation package with opportunities for bonuses and incentives based on performance.
  • Comprehensive benefits including personal and family dental care, retirement plan options, and paid time off.
Growth & Professional Development:
  • Continuous training programs, workshops, and support for advanced certifications and specializations.
  • Opportunities to participate in community outreach initiatives and professional dental associations.
Innovative & Supportive Work Environment:
  • A clean and comforting facility where cutting-edge dental technologies are embraced.
  • A warm, collaborative team culture that values each member’s contribution and fosters a work-life balance.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates should submit a cover letter detailing their passion for dental hygiene and a current resume outlining relevant qualifications to office@mouchahamdentistry.com. We welcome applications from dynamic professionals eager to make a significant impact on the oral health and overall well-being of our patients.
