POSITION DESCRIPTION

Magnificent Minds Education Consulting is a Special Education staffing agency that is partnering with an exceptional school district looking for a contract School Speech/Language Pathologist for the 2024 - 2025 school year.

  • Location: Rutherford Winans Academy-Detroit, MI
  • Location Type: On-Site
  • Schedule: Part Time
  • Hours: Minimum 16 per week
  • Grade Levels: K-8
  • Caseload: Approximately 15-20 students

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • State license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The ideal candidate will conduct assessments to evaluate student's speech, language, and communication abilities, develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings, and provide therapy services to students individually and in group settings.
  • This position also involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs, monitoring student's progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • The candidate will also maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and progress reports.
