Inventory Clerk (Contract-to-Hire)

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to join our team at our Fountain Inn manufacturing facility. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential for the right candidate.

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory control and supporting warehouse operations to ensure materials are properly tracked, stocked, and available to meet production needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and maintain accurate inventory records (type, quantity, and value of materials and supplies)

• Perform cycle counts and full physical inventory counts

• Reconcile physical inventory with system records and resolve discrepancies

• Stock and issue materials and supplies as needed

• Monitor inventory levels and notify production/purchasing when stock is low

• Check in incoming merchandise and properly label materials

• Organize and place materials on pallets or shelves for distribution

• Troubleshoot system and operator-related inventory discrepancies

• Support and follow Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines

• Provide general warehouse and operational support as required

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 2 years forklift experience (required)

• Strong computer proficiency

• Strong clerical and record-keeping skills

• High attention to detail

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Reliable and responsible work ethic

• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to bend, twist, stoop, climb, sit, or stand for extended periods

Steel-toe boots required (Yearly boot voucher provided once hired permanently.)

Pay & Benefits

• $18/hr starting pay (negotiable based on experience)

Working Conditions
