OpSource Staffing is hiring Blasting Operators for a rapidly growing manufacturing facility in Fountain Inn, SC. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with eligibility for permanent hire after approximately 90 days based on attendance, performance, and business needs.

Position Summary
The Blasting Operator is responsible for operating grit and water blasting equipment to properly prepare parts for subsequent production processes.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare parts for blasting by taping/masking surfaces as required
Operate grit and water blasting equipment according to production instructions
Load parts into blasting equipment properly and safely
Set and maintain proper equipment pressures and adjustments
Perform routine equipment cleaning and maintenance
Use quality control devices as instructed
Accurately complete travelers and production documentation
Follow all Quality Management System (QMS) guidelines
Adhere to all safety policies and wear required PPE
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Understanding of proper blasting techniques
Ability to read technical travelers and drawings
Basic math skills and ability to write measurements correctly
Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, scales, calculators, etc.)
Mechanically inclined mindset
Safety-focused and team-oriented
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to bend, twist, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods
Reliable, punctual, and physically present at workstation during scheduled hours
Ideal Candidates May Have
CNC experience
Metal fabrication background
Mechanical assembly experience
Technical or trade school training
Manufacturing or industrial blasting experience
Training is provided for candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in craftsmanship.
Pay & Benefits
Starting pay: $17/hour
Contract-to-hire (approximately 90 days)
Full benefits offered upon permanent hire
