Job Description

Chem Shop Operator – Manufacturing (Startup Team)

Greenville, SC (Roper Mountain Rd Area)$18–$24/hour (based on experience – higher pay for grit blasting / water blasting experience)

We’re launching a new, small-scale manufacturing operation in Greenville and looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who want to grow with the company and be part of something built to succeed.

This is a tight-knit team environment (only 5 people per shift), so reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic are critical. If you take pride in your work and want to be part of a team that will grow and shine together, we want to hear from you.

Open Positions

  • 1st Shift: 1 opening
  • 3rd Shift: 4 openings 

Schedule:

  • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Monday–Friday
  • Voluntary Saturdays available
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch

Training:All new hires will train on 1st shift for several weeks up to a couple of months (depending on progress).

What You’ll Do

  • Operate high-pressure water blasting equipment
  • Perform chemical stripping and manage processing times
  • Conduct titration of chemical baths and assist with tank adjustments
  • Perform grit blasting for surface preparation
  • Apply precision masking and cure materials
  • Load/unload parts into industrial furnaces
  • Perform basic inspections and flow checks
  • Safely operate forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
  • Support team production goals and workflow

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable work history (attendance and consistency matter in a small team)
  • Positive attitude and self-motivated mindset
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable working in an industrial environment (heat, noise, wet conditions)

Preferred Experience

  • Manufacturing or production experience
  • Chemical processing experience (highly preferred)
  • Grit blasting or water blasting experience (pay premium available)

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Ability to stand, move, and work with industrial equipment throughout shift

  • Basic math & aptitude testing
