Job Description

Job Title: Mail Sorter 1st Shift

Location: Louisville, KY

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

A well-established mail processing facility in Louisville is seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Mail Sorters on 1st shift. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clean, climate-controlled environment with consistent hours and strong potential for advancement.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 6am to 2:30pm

Overtime as needed

Occasional Saturday overtime required

Mandatory overtime during peak season (Mid-September through Mid-December)

Job Responsibilities:

Manually sort various classes of mail (letters, flats, periodicals, parcels) according to company and USPS standards

Operate and perform basic troubleshooting on at least three types of mail processing equipment

Train new employees on at least two types of mail processing machines

Maintain high levels of quality and accuracy in all tasks

Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding job progress and any issues

Keep accurate documentation of materials used and work completed

Assist with manual order fulfillment and other duties as needed

Requirements:

Ability to consistently work overnight shifts

Strong attention to detail and quality

Reliable attendance and work ethic

Previous experience in mail handling, production, or warehouse environments preferred

Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and during seasonal peaks

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
