Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Winding Operator to join our team in Hopedale, MA. The Winding Operator will be responsible for operating winding machines to produce high-quality labels for identification purposes. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor winding machines to produce labels according to specifications.
- Set up and adjust machines, ensuring proper tension, alignment, and other settings.
- Inspect labels for quality, ensuring they meet established standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues, reporting major problems to maintenance.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Record production data, including quantities produced, machine settings, and downtime.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a winding operator or in a similar manufacturing role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as work orders and machine manuals.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Willingness to work overtime or flexible shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to [specify weight, e.g., 50 pounds].
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
