Job Summary:

We are seeking highly motivated emerging talent to participate in a 10-week immersive internship program from June 8, 2026, to August 14, 2026. This program offers university and graduate students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities.

This intern will help design and implement a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server layer for the internal database, define schemas and tools for common operations such as data retrieval, metadata inspection, and controlled updates, and validate the interface by connecting a simple agent workflow.

Responsibilities: 

• Learn and understand the database schema and APIs
• Implement an MCP server interface for Cheetah
• Define tool schemas and prompts for agent interaction
• Build and test example agent workflows
• Document design decisions and integration steps

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; senior standing by fall 2026
• Python proficiency
• Familiarity with REST APIs and basic backend development
• Introductory knowledge of databases and SQL or ORM concepts
• Exposure to LLMs, agent frameworks, or tool calling concepts
• Strong debugging and documentation skills
• Ability to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion

Preferences:

• Previous internship, coursework, or project experience

Hourly Pay Range: $23.50-$30.00 per hour

*Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography
