Job Description

Essel is looking for a skilled Civil 3D Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in the planning and design of civil engineering projects, primarily focusing on land development and infrastructure. Your expertise in Civil 3D software will be crucial for creating detailed engineering designs and ensuring they meet the highest industry standards.

As a Civil 3D Designer, you will be responsible for producing design drawings, grading plans, alignment profiles, and cross-sections using Civil 3D. You will collaborate closely with project engineers and other team members to ensure that designs are efficient, accurate, and adhere to project timelines. Your role will also involve conducting site analyses, compiling design documents, and applying relevant regulations into your designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate and detailed design drawings in Civil 3D, including grading plans, road alignments, and drainage systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and analyses to inform design decisions.
  • Collaborate with team members to revise and update design plans based on project needs and feedback.
  • Prepare technical documents such as design reports and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and design standards.
  • Assist in project management tasks, tracking deadlines and deliverables.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in civil design, specifically using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience with site grading, drainage design, and roadway design.
  • Proficient in preparing construction documents and drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication abilities and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
