Job Overview:

The 21st Century Community Learning Center (21CCLC) Program Specialist provides statewide leadership, administrative oversight, and fiscal management for Montana's out of school time programs. This role ensures alignment with state and federal standards while driving innovative, community-partnered educational strategies.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Behaviors):

  • Knowledge of research to find science-based effective practices and service delivery models

  • Ability to implement and evaluate innovative health education strategies or innovative program service delivery models on a statewide basis; revamp or revise researched models to fit Montana specific sub-populations

  • Ability to develop program objectives

  • Ability to evaluate program per job related competencies that contribute to success in job performance

  • Keeps current on professional and technical knowledge

  • Ability to speak effectively in a professional manner

  • Ability to write effectively in a professional manner

  • Self-directed in managing statewide projects, meeting strict reporting deadlines, and taking ownership of outcomes

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

  • Three years of experience in out of school time program administration or grant administration

  • Other combinations of education and experience will be on a case-by-case basis
