This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic environment while advancing your clinical expertise.Position Overview:This urgent travel RN role offers a vital opportunity to provide complex nursing care in a Pediatric CVICU setting. You will work independently, demonstrating advanced skills in managing pediatric cardiac patients with critical needs, including chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions. Your expertise will ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care during an important and rewarding assignment.Required Skills:

• Pediatric cardiac ICU experience, including managing chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions
• Ability to work independently within the scope of nursing standards
• Proficiency in performing assessments, medication administration, and treatments with attention to side effects and efficacy
• Strong documentation skills, including patient history, symptoms, and care provided
• Excellent patient and family education capabilities
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA approved)
• Valid RN license in Texas or a multi-state compact license

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with pediatric critical care in a hospital setting
• Ability to handle complex emotional and psychosocial needs of pediatric patients and families
• Previous exposure to outpatient or long-term pediatric cardiac care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred)
• Minimum of 1 year of critical care or pediatric ICU experience (new graduates accepted with appropriate training)
• Completion of hospital-specific orientation and annual competency assessments

Other Requirements:

• Immediate start date required; position begins on 03/23/2026
• Willingness to travel for assignments in various locations
• Must have pediatric cardiac care experience, including handling invasive procedures and vasoactive infusions
• Temp-to-perm opportunity available
