Job Description

Special Education Teacher - Dorchester, SC! 26/27 School Year | Full-Time | In-Person | Contract | Up to $54/hourPosition Details:
  • Location: Dorchester, SC
  • Duration: August 2026 – June 2027
  • Hours: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 35–40 hours/week
  • Caseload: Middle School Resource or Self-Contained Options
  • Required: Active SC Special Education Teaching Certification

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to support K–12 learners
  • Implement behavior management strategies and positive supports
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation for compliance
  • Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
