JOB SUMMARY: To clean and service the hospital facility and other assigned areas on a routine basis. To ensure a friendly environment for the patients, visitors, and staff.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Light lifting may be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Maintain confidentially, protecting patient information at all times: minimum information necessary to those with right and need to know.

Proactive in answering telephone calls and offering assistance to all customers by telephone or in person.

Effective communication: writes and speaks clearly and concisely, affecting positive and efficient assistance to all requestors.

Perform required tasks and other duties as assigned, while maintaining a positive attitude.

Completes job duties in accordance with productivity requirements and quality standards.

Promptly report equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel to order service as needed.

Performs all other duties as assigned or required.

Assembles and transport cleaning supplies, equipment and other material to designated work areas in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Maintains floors, walls, ceilings, windows, fixtures and equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Processes general/infectious waste and soiled linen in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Operates all power equipment as dictated by work assignment in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.

Uses equipment, supplies and all other hospital property in a safe and economical manner.

Maintains environmental services equipment, storage rooms and other materials at a high level of cleanliness and in good repair at all times.
