ELCCO Inc. is a leading electrical contractor in the Hawaiian Islands. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for electrical installations, troubleshooting, and maintenance within the commercial, industrial, and residential settings works under the supervision and/or direction of a foreman electrician.
Responsibilities
- All Licensed Journeyman responsibilities must be continually satisfied
- Installs, maintains, and/or troubleshoots advanced electrical systems in compliance with the National Electric Code (NEC)
- Comprehends and incorporates specifications effectively
- Demonstrates ability to complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size
- Consistently completes portions of projects on time, within budget, and in a safe manner
- Capable of leading small crews (2-5 electricians) effectively
- Demonstrates ability to effectively coach and mentor crew members
- Enforces a safe jobsite and maintains compliance with company safety, OSHA, and customer-specific safety standards
Qualifications
- Active Journeyman Electrician license, Hawaii preferred, or willing to get within 3 months of employment
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Degree in related field is preferred, 4 years of apprenticeship training (3 with 2-year degree from technical college),
- Current Driver License
- Reliable Transportation
- Coaching/Development - Ability to provide guidance and feedback to help others strengthen specific knowledge/skill areas
- Project Management - Ability to organize and direct a project to completion
