Job Description

Position: CNA Certified Nursing Assistant - Full Time

Work Schedule: PM Shift available 11p-7a

Palmettos of Bluffton fosters an environment of teamwork and provides opportunities of growth in a healthcare setting. The Resident Assistant will perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, oral care)

  • Help with ambulation, transfers, and safe positioning

  • Record vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other data

  • Assist residents at meals and track hydration and food intake

  • Maintain clean and comfortable resident spaces

  • Observe residents and report changes to nursing staff

  • Follow safety protocols and proper body mechanics

Experience

  • Candidate must hold a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in senior resident services, social work, health care, or customer service is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are essential.
  • Prefer that the candidate have experience in working with older adults and a knowledge of the aging process.
  • A flexible work schedule is also a necessity.
