Responsibilities for Home Health Aide
- Perform personal care activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom
- Provide patients with mobility assistance
- Follow assignments and guidelines set by RNs, and/or LPN's
- Prepare and submit all documentation by established deadlines in conjunction with policies and procedures
- Report unusual behavior and any other pertinent patient information to supervisor
- Show flexibility in responding to the needs of the patient
Qualifications for Home Health Aide
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Home Health Aide certification
- Minimum of 6 months of work experience, preferably in home care, a skilled nursing facility, or hospital setting
- Possess and maintain current CPR certification
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Strong reading, writing, and speaking skills (in English)
- Comfortable with little supervision
