Landscape Maintenance Foreman

SS Landscaping is looking for a Maintenance Foreman to join our team in our Bremerton office. This person will operate as the team leader for their field team in our Peninsula region.  The focus of this vital role is to manage you and your teams services provided to our existing and new clients. Services include: lawn, beds, fertilization, herbicide, pruning, sweeping and more. Your leadership will contribute to the success of our Service Department.  

The ideal candidate comes with experience in landscape maintenance and field personnel management with the ability to maintain client relationships via a positive attitude and a drive for excellence. 

General Description:

• Supervise crew to ensure safe efficient performance.  
• Recommend schedule and/or crew changes when work loads or site indicate the need.
• Train crew members.
• Assures crew activities are carried out in a professional, safe and efficient manner.
• Responsible for security, operator maintenance and proper use of all assigned equipment, trucks and tools.
• Contacts account representatives to resolve problems, answer questions and provide site status, as appropriate. 
• Accurately maintains the crew time card at the end of each work day.
• Must demonstrate leadership at all times.
• Must be proficient with all common landscape maintenance equipment.

Other requirements:

• Valid Washington State Drivers License
• Plant identification
• Pruning experience/knowledge
• Extensive experience using various hand tools and equipment including: blower, mower (21", 48", & 52"), line trimmer, hard edger, hedge bar, etc.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems (i.e. controller adjustment, start-up/shut-down, etc.) and small irrigation repair.

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to twist and/or lift
• Able to bend, kneel, or squat 
• Able to reach above shoulder height
• Able to climb into truck bed, work on sloping ground
• Able to handle equipment, such as mower, blower, line trimmer, wheelbarrow, shovel
• Able to work in varying weather conditions
