3rd Overnight Shift DSPSummaryThe Awake Overnight DSP provides support and supervision for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities during the night in their home. They are responsible for remaining alert and available throughout the shift while providing assistance as needed to ensure each individual's health, safety, and overall wellbeing. A Resting Overnight DSP During the active portion of the shift, the DSP assists with routine household responsibilities, prepares the home for the following day, and provides support with any scheduled or emerging needs. The DSP must remain available to respond to individuals as needed throughout the overnight hours. Prior to the end of the shift, the DSP gets up and actively participates in the morning routine.Essential Functions – Awake OvernightRemain awake, alert, and attentive throughout the entire overnight shift. Provide direct support and personal care based on each individual's needs and individualized plan of care. Monitor individuals throughout the shift and respond appropriately to health, safety, personal care, and other overnight needs. Administer medications and perform treatments as authorized and in accordance with applicable regulations, organizational policy, and required training. Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and other situations requiring immediate attention. Complete assigned household cleaning, laundry, and other routine overnight tasks as required. Accurately and objectively document overnight activities, services provided, observations, incidents, and other required information. Maintain professional and respectful interactions with individuals, families, coworkers, supervisors, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Essential Functions – Resting OvernightIf an emergent situation arises, staff are required to remain awake and provide assistance in communication with the management team. Required to assist people supported with the morning routine and personal care (showering/dressing/breakfast). Clean kitchen and bathroom: countertops; sweep and vacuum floors; empty trash baskets; straighten up the house prior to leaving shift. Complete all paperwork and documentation prior to leaving shift. Maintain a positive, productive team environment including relationships with people supported, families, management, coworkers and community associations. Minimum RequirementsMust be at least 18 years old; High School Diploma or GED; Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and appropriate professional conduct.Compensation & Job Opportunities3rd Shift Awake: $22.50 per hour Cranston: Wed/Thurs/Fri & Every Other Saturday 10pm-8amWarwick: Sun/Mon/Tue & Every Other Saturday 10pm-8am3rd Shift Resting: $19.00 per hour
