Job Description
3rd Shift Machine Operator Training as DeflasherShift 3rd Shift 900 PM to 700 AM Monday through ThursdayOvertime Fridays and Saturdays as needed
Position OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and detail oriented individual to join our team as a Machine Operator on 3rd shift This position will begin as a Deflasher during a minimum 90 day training period Upon successful completion and direct hire employees will transition into a Machine Operator role and receive a 1 dollar per hour pay increase
Starting Pay 22 dollars per hourAdditional Compensation Monthly gainshare bonus opportunities
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Press Operator is responsible for operating machinery that molds and forms plastic parts Essential duties include
Understand and follow quality criteria for molded partsRead and follow process sheets for each partInspect molds and surrounding areas for safety and quality complianceOperate machine controls to mold partsMonitor presses for leaks or mechanical issuesRemove molded parts and place on appropriate fixturesUse powered and non powered hand tools to remove flashing drill holes and route openingsApply glue and install studs or inserts as requiredIdentify defects and perform minor repairs using tools such as pneumatic sandersApply plastic filler to correct imperfectionsMove parts between workstations as neededClean and lubricate molds molds may be up to 20 feet tallWork at elevated heights when necessary
Additional ResponsibilitiesFollow all company safety procedures and policiesInspect tools and report any defects or issuesRotate to other positions as assignedMaintain a clean and organized work areaPerform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader
Physical RequirementsAbility to climb stairs and laddersFrequent reaching with both armsRepetitive gripping with both handsUse of vibrating toolsLift or pull up to 50 poundsStand and walk for extended periods
QualificationsPrevious manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred but not requiredAbility to work overtime as neededStrong attention to detail and safety awarenessWillingness to learn and grow into a Machine Operator role
