- Active RN license in state of employment or valid compact license
- BLS certification from AHA
- ACLS certification from AHA
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty
- Proficiency in using the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple patient needs
- Strong documentation and medication administration skills for cardiac and telemetry patients
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Ability to make appropriate clinical decisions, delegate tasks, and adapt to changing situations
- Experience with cardiac and telemetry units (not step-down)
- Prior experience in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Knowledge of electronic health records and relevant protocols
- Certification in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS)
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar clinical setting
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac patient care
- Must attend new nurse orientation within the first 30 days
- Flexible availability for day shifts (7 AM 7 PM)
- Weekend rotation every other weekend
- Temp-to-perm opportunity available
- No on-call required
- Ability to coordinate care for 5-6 patients depending on staffing
- Reliable transportation for licensure, certification, travel, or other reimbursements as applicable
