What Youll Do

Provide competent nursing care to cardiac and telemetry patients in a step-down setting
Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly
Administer medications and treatments according to protocols
Document assessments, interventions, and patient information thoroughly
Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families on health status and treatments
Maintain accurate and timely medical records
Follow unit-specific procedures and safety protocols

What You Need

Valid RN license in Louisiana or a multistate compact license
BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in a cardiac or telemetry setting preferred
Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment

About the Assignment This position involves working in a dedicated cardiac and telemetry unit within a highly-regarded facility in Alexandria. The unit is not a step-down, focused on acute cardiac care, requiring skilled nurses who can practice independently and handle complex patient needs.
