What You’ll Do

• Provide direct patient care coordinated to the age and needs of the patient population served.
• Obtain and document initial assessments, establish priorities, and reassess patients systematically to identify trends and needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care in line with nursing standards and unit expectations.
• Make clinical nursing decisions based on patient data and modify the plan of care as outcomes change.
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures as indicated.
• Participate in patient/significant other education and support discharge planning.
• Provide care that reflects respectful, patient-centered communication and collaboration with staff and physicians.

What You NeedRequired

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
• BLS certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification (AHA)
• NRP certification
• Knowledge and skills appropriate to the age/type of patient population served
