Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for a Locum position to join our dynamic Emergency Medicine team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality treatment and exceptional patient outcomes.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in collaboration with physicians and nursing staff.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab results and imaging studies.
- Initiate and manage treatment plans, including prescribing medications and performing procedures as appropriate.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and preventive care strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practice guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Stay current with medical advancements and evidence-based practices in emergency medicine.
**Qualifications:**
- Current NP or PA licensure in [Insert State].
- Certification from an accredited NP or PA program.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred.
