• Provide comprehensive nursing care in Level I, II, or III Trauma Emergency Departments.
• Manage a wide spectrum of cases, including strokes, STEMIs, post-surgical complications, pregnancy issues, pediatrics, behavioral health, and more.
• Demonstrate clinical independence while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications, monitor treatments, and document care meticulously.
• Educate patients and families, addressing complex emotional and social needs.
• Make sound clinical decisions, delegate appropriately, and adapt to evolving situations.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years recent ER experience, focusing on trauma levels 1-3.
• Proven competence in managing varied ED patient conditions.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate clinical judgment.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (must be AHA approved).
• Active RN license in NM or a compact state.
• Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

• BSN preferred.
• Experience in pediatric, behavioral health, or surgical post-op care.
• Additional certifications or specialized training in emergency nursing.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• At least one year of nursing experience in a related specialty, preferably ER.
• Recent experience in high-acuity trauma centers.

Other Requirements:

• Availability for multiple shifts from 3 pm to 7 pm, with flexibility as needed.
• Must attend New Nurse Orientation within 30 days of hire.
• Participation in onboarding and competency validations, including emergency department-specific training.
• Valid COVID vaccination requirements may apply.
• Travel reimbursement and licensure/certification reimbursements when applicable.
