What You’ll Do

• Provide independent nursing care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Care for patients with a wide range of needs, including strokes, STEMIs, trauma, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatric concerns, behavioral health needs, and clinic-level conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to appropriate protocols while monitoring effectiveness and potential side effects.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, treatments, and care provided.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to support effective management of the clinical environment.

What You NeedRequired:

• Current RN license in New Mexico or a compact state
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association
• Current TNCC certification
• At least 2 years of nursing experience, including recent Emergency Department experience in a Level 1, 2, or 3 trauma setting

Preferred:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty
