Job Description

Our accredited (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education CCNE) Nursing program is seeking six (6) faculty members to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. These positions are 10- 12 months appointments with salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

UMSV has open opportunities for Faculty with expertise in the following areas:

  • Psychiatric Behavioral Health Nursing
  • Adult Health
  • Nursing Gerontology
  • Nursing Leadership
  • Pathophysiology
  • Medical Surgical Nursing
  • Fundamentals of Nursing
  • Pharmacology
  • Health Promotion

Responsibilities

  • Teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs
  • Advise and mentor students
  • Engage in scholarly activities and participate in initiatives within the University

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Earned Doctorate in Nursing or related Field or substantial progress toward the doctorate (preferred)
  • Clinical and Teaching expertise in the specialty area
  • Familiarity with traditional and accelerated programs in Nursing

Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff and leadership
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse faculty and student populations
  • Ability to use Google Suite and Gmail

Benefits

The allotted salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000; salary commensurate with relevant education.
