Requirements
- Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic components in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, sensors, and control modules.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and adjustments, such as brake and suspension work, wheel alignments, and fluid changes.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot automotive issues accurately.
- Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and follows manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed.
- Communicate with customers to explain repairs and provide estimates for services.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends through training and professional development opportunities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary automotive training is a plus.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, particularly in electrical and electronic systems.
- ASE certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
