Job Description:
Schneider Automotive & Collision Center is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Collision Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality collision repairs on various types of vehicles. This role involves assessing damage, preparing repair estimates, disassembling vehicles, and restoring them to pre-accident condition with precision.
Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs on damaged vehicle bodies, including structural, sheet metal, and plastic components.
- Accurately diagnose collision damage and create detailed repair plans.
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as necessary.
- Use frame straightening equipment, welding tools, and other specialized equipment.
- Repair or replace damaged parts, such as panels, bumpers, and hoods.
- Ensure all work meets or exceeds OEM and industry standards.
- Collaborate with other team members, including painters and estimators, to ensure high-quality work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following safety protocols.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest vehicle repair techniques and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Collision Technician or similar role.
- I-CAR, ASE, or other industry certifications are a plus.
- Strong understanding of vehicle construction and repair processes.
- Proficiency with welding, frame alignment, and other repair tools.
- Ability to read and interpret repair estimates and technical diagrams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
