We are looking for a committed Physical Therapy Assistant to act as our patients’ partner throughout the trip of restoring motion and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation.

Qualifications
-proven work experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant
-Intensive education and clinical expertise
-Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
-Current knowledge of treatment practices
-Excellent interpersonal communication skills
-Valid license to practice physical therapy
-One year experience in a pediatric setting preferred
-Experience in Home Health is a plus but not necessary
Responsibilities
-Provide physical therapy treatment services as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist and in accordance with the established plan of care.
- Document each therapy session, noting progress toward goals and the child’s response to treatment.
- Monitor and report any changes in the child’s condition to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Communicate regularly with caregivers and family members, offering instruction and guidance for home carryover activities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of creative, developmentally appropriate treatment activities.
- Ensure safety and appropriate use of equipment during therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in compliance with Medicaid, insurance, and company documentation standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, nurses, and educators.
- Maintain professional licensure and participate in required trainings and continuing education.
- Travel to client homes and assigned service areas while maintaining punctuality and professionalism.
- Adhere to all applicable HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and performance reviews as requested.
