Position: Medical Assistant
Facility: Cedar Sinai Medical Network
Location: 5411Etiwanda Ave, Tarzana, CA 91356
Pay range: $25/hr
Hours: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 – 17:00)

Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
12 hours non-billable orientation
Required Qualifications:
· Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI.
· Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries
· 1 year working as an MA in an outpatient clinic or medical office setting
· Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions
· Expertise with blood/lab draws and venipuncture - will draw 1-5 tubes from each patient. The clinic sees 100+ patients a day
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2+ years working as a MA in (specific speciality)
• Experience with CS-Link/Epic
• Phlebotomy certification (highly preferred)
• Understanding of medical terminology
• Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans
Job Duties:
• Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, and review current meds and record in medical record
• Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
• Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
• Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
• Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
• Administer immunisations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
• Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
Compensation: $25.00 per hour
