Job Description
HOMEMAKER
Is a trained non-professional worker who performs related housekeeping services in the home for the sick, disabled and dependent individuals. HOMEMAKER employees report to the Administrator.
JobDuties: Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient environment by following standards and procedures
- Changing linens, dusting, vacuuming
- Maintaining kitchen and bathroom facilities, handling personal laundry
- Maintaining security
A homemaker must satisfactorily complete a training program approved by the Registered Nurse and may perform the following duties under an established plan of care and under the supervision of a qualified person.
- Change bed linens (unoccupied)
- Grocery shopping
- General housekeeping (washing dishes, cleaning kitchen, bathroom, client’s room)
- Trash removal
- Laundry and ironing
- Meal preparation
- Shopping, errand-running
- Recording services rendered
